GOOGLE: Helpfulness 2021
In 2021, when access to learning and engagement had become exponentially more important to people everywhere, we set out to tell stories that represented the best of Google's helpfulness. Whether by serendipity, or forced by stay-at-home orders, we found and produced these real stories within our own creative team—something that makes them near-and-dear to my heart, but also emotionally resonant to many.
An Octopus Story.
An Octopus Story aired alongside A CODA Story during the Academy Awards and told the story of a fellow Googler's son, Arlo, whose love of octopuses helped his dad find new ways to bond in pandemic times. And in a choreographed moment of stars (and media plans) aligning, An Octopus Story ran in the moments after My Octopus Teacher won their Oscar for Best Documentary.
Olga’s Story
And while not nearly as star-studded as the Academy Awards, we later launched Olga’s Story to a much smaller audience (but with just as much heart) as part of our sponsorship of the Leadership Conference for Civil and Human Rights.
